Budget Friendly Christmas Wreath
Equipment
- 1 Mesh Cutter
- 1 Pair of scissors
Materials
- 4 rolls 10" mesh different styles
- 1 Single ring 18" evergreen wreath frame
- 1 Dollar Tree evergreen garland
- 1 rolls 4" ribbon different styles
- 2 rolls 2.5" ribbon different styles
- 2 rolls 1.5" ribbon different styles
Instructions
Prep
- Roll out all 4 rolls of mesh, layering them one on top the other so you can cut multiple rolls at once. (Use something to hold the rolls in place.
- Clean up the edges of the mesh by cutting of the ends.
- Cut the mesh into 8 - 30" sections.
- Fluff out the evergreen stems, being very careful not to cut yourself on the exposed wires.
Placement
- Take the curved edge of a 30" mesh piece and let it hang over the end of the table opposite of you to hold it in place. Ruffle up the middle of the side closest to you.
- Insert the ruffle in between two tines and twist in place. Overlap the edges so it looks like a skirt.
- Continue this process, overlapping the previous ruffle, while alternating the mesh styles.
- Cut your 4" ribbon into 4 - 14" pieces.
- Match all 4 pieces up and dovetail the ends.
- Cut your 1st 2.5" ribbon into 4 - 14" pieces.
- Match all 4 pieces up and dovetail the ends.
- Cut your 2nd 2.5" ribbon into 4 - 14" pieces.
- Cut your 1st 2.5" ribbon into 4 - 14" pieces.
- Pinch the center of your ribbon piece and insert in between to tines. Alternate ribbon styles as you add them.
- (optional) you could add a sign if you'd like
- Take your 1st 1.5" ribbon and cut into 4 -14" pieces
- Match all 4 pieces up and dovetail the ends.
- Take your 2nd 1.5" ribbon and cut into 4 -14" pieces
- Create bow ties with your 1.5" ribbon pieces and alternate adding them into the tines.
- Fluff out your ribbon tails and bows.
