1.13.23 St. Patricks Day Swag on Rail Form-Tammy

Instructions

Prep your base.

  • Start with a 12 tie wreath rail base.
  • Take a 10” mesh and make a poof, add it to the bottom of the rail base working your way up, down and across the base.
  • Take a 10” mesh and cut 6 x 20” pieces.
  • Take the mesh and make ruffles by pinching the ends together.
  • Add the ruffles to the swag base.
  • Take a 10” mesh and cut 4 x 20” pieces.
  • Take the mesh and make ruffles by pinching the ends together.
  • Add the ruffles to the swag base.
  • Take a 10” mesh and cut 4 x 10” pieces.
  • Take the mesh and make curls.
  • Add the curls to the swag base.

Prep your toy decoration.

  • Take your dog bone toy and add a mounting square to the back of it.

Make and add your bow.

  • Take 1 ribbon and make a bow with 3 loops, keeping the tails long.
  • Take 2 ribbons and make a bow with 2 loops each.
  • Layer your bows.
  • Secure your bow with a pipe cleaner.
  • Add your bow to the top of the swag using pipe cleaners.
  • Fluff out your bow.
  • Dovetail the ends.
  • Take the ribbon tail and attach it to the bottom of the swag by making a rollercoaster.

Add your toy decoration.

  • Add the dog bone toy to the center of the swag using a pipe cleaner.

Make and add your half bow and ribbon.

  • Take 1 ribbon and cut a piece to make a ribbon tail.
  • Add the ribbon tail to the bottom of the swag, making a rollercoaster.
  • Dovetail the ends.
  • Take 1 ribbon and make a few half bows.
  • Dovetail the ends.
  • Add the half bows to the swag.

Add in your picks and ribbon tails.

  • Add in some foam shamrocks using pipe cleaners.
  • Add in a few curl picks.
  • Take 1 ribbon and make a roller coaster on the left side of the swag.
  • Dovetail the ends.
  • Add in some ball picks.
  • Add in a few curl picks.
  • Take 1 ribbon and cut a few pieces for tails.
  • Add the tails to the swag.
  • Curl the ends.
