1.15.23 Meghans Mushroom and Butterfly Wreath

Instructions

Prep your base.

  • Start with a round 24” evergreen base.
  • Fluff out your pine needles.
  • Take 2 types of 10” mesh and cut 7 x 24” pieces of each.
  • Take a 21” mesh and cut 7 x 24” pieces.
  • Take the 21” mesh and curl the sides together and pinch the ends together.
  • Take the 10” mesh and make cruffles by curling in the edges and pinching the middle together.
  • Add the cruffles and mesh to the inner and outer ring of the base, alternating colors as you go.
  • Make the round wreath into an oval shape, using zip ties.

Add in your butterfly sign.

  • Add your butterfly sign to the top of the wreath, using pipe cleaners.

Make and add your bow and ribbon tails.

  • Take 5 ribbons and make a bow with 2 loops each.
  • Layer your bows.
  • Secure your bow with a pipe cleaner.
  • Fluff out your bow.
  • Add your bow to the bottom of the wreath.
  • Trim and dovetail the ends.
  • Take a few ribbons and make ribbon tails.
  • Take a few ribbons and make bows with 2 loops each.
  • Layer the ribbon tails and bows together and add it around the wreath, alternating colors as you go.

Add in your greenery.

  • Add in some mixed greenery.
  • Add in a few eucalyptus berries greenery.
  • Add in some filler flowers
  • Add in a few floral bushes.
  • Add in some big and small mushrooms.
  • Add in a few pink leaves.
  • Add in some ranunculus fillers.
