12.21.22 XL Black& Gold Mardi Gras Swag

Instructions

Prep your base.

  • Start with a teardrop evergreen swag base.
  • Fluff out the pine needles.
  • Take a 10” mesh and cut 11 x 21” of each.
  • Take the mesh and make cruffles by curling in the edges and pinching the middle together.
  • Add the cruffles to the swag using the pine needles.

Add in your masks.

  • Add in your Mardi Gras masks to the swag.

Make and add your bow and half bow.

  • Take 2 ribbons and make a bow with 2 loops each.
  • Layer your bows.
  • Secure your bows with a zip tie.
  • Add your bow to the bottom of the swag.
  • Fluff out your bow.
  • Trim some ends.
  • Curl some ends.
  • Take 2 ribbons and make a half bow with 1 loop each.
  • Layer your bows.
  • Secure your bows with a zip tie.
  • Add your bow to the top of the swag.
  • Fluff out your bow.
  • Dovetail some ends.
  • Curl in some ends.

Add in your greenery and picks.

  • Add in some poinsettias.
  • Add in a few ornaments.
  • Add in some black & white leaf picks.
  • Add in a few small gold jewel strings.
  • Add in a gold & silver jewel spray stem.
  • Add in some sticky jewels to the poinsettia leaves.
