12.4.22 Mardi Gras Swag - Meghan

Instructions

Prep your base.

  • Start with a 24” evergreen swag base.
  • Fluff out the pine needles.
  • Take 3 types of 10” mesh and cut 5 pieces of each.
  • Take the mesh and make cruffles by curling in the edges and pinching the middle together.
  • Take the cruffles and add it to the swag, alternating colors as you go.

Make and add your bow and picks.

  • Take 2 ribbons and make a bow with 2 loops each, keeping the tails long.
  • Layer the bows.
  • Secure the bows with a pipe cleaner.
  • Add your bow to the upper half of the swag.
  • Add in a gold glitter spray below the bow.
  • Take your ribbon tails and attach it to the bottom making loops.
  • Dovetail the ends.
  • Add in some more gold glitter picks.
  • Take 2 ribbons and make tails.
  • Secure the tails with a zip tie.
  • Add the tails to the swag.
  • Dovetail the ends.

Add in your picks and greenery.

  • Add your jewel picks using pipe cleaners and glue.
  • Add in a purple glitter pick.
  • Add in a few ornaments.
  • Add in some gold leaves.
  • Add in some green leaves.
  • Add in a few curly picks.
  • Add in some ball picks.
