2.17.23 St. Patricks Day Leprechaun swag- Tammy

Instructions

Design 1

    Prep your base.

    • Start with a 24” white evergreen teardrop swag base.
    • Fluff out the pine needles.
    • Take a 10” mesh and work it through the entire swag.
    • Take 2 types of 10” mesh and cut 4 x 20” pieces of each.
    • Take the mesh and make cruffles by curling in the edges and pinching the middle together.
    • Add the cruffles to the swag, alternating colors as you go.

    Add your wooden leprechaun.

    • Take your wooden leprechaun and add mounting squares to the back of it.
    • Add your wooden leprechaun to the center of the swag using pipe cleaners.

    Make and add your half bows and ribbon tails.

    • Take 5 ribbons and make a half bow with 1 loop each.
    • Layer your bows.
    • Secure your bow with pipe cleaners.
    • Add your half bow to the bottom center of the swag.
    • Fluff out your bow.
    • Dovetail the ends, keeping the tails long.
    • Take 5 ribbons and make a half bow with 1 loop each.
    • Layer your bows.
    • Secure your bow with pipe cleaners.
    • Add your half bow to the top center of the swag.
    • Fluff out your bow.
    • Dovetail the ends.
    • Take 2 ribbons and cut a few pieces for ribbon tails.
    • Dovetail the ends.
    • Add the ribbon tails around the swag.

    Add in your greenery and ornament.

    • Add in some ivy bushes.
    • Add in a few shamrock bushes.
    • Add in some gold fern.
    • Add in some filler flowers.
    • Add in an ornament to the bottom bow.

    Design 2

      Create your lantern swag

      • Join 2 shamrock bushes together at the edges to make a small swag.
      • Secure the swag with zip ties.
      • Add in a wooden shamrock to the top of the swag.
      • Add in some gold fern.
      • Take 2 ribbons and make a bow with 2 loops each.
      • Take 1 ribbon and make a bow with 4 loops.
      • Layer your bows.
      • Secure your bows with a pipe cleaner.
      • Add your bow to the center of the swag using the pipe cleaner.
      • Dovetail the ends.
      • Fluff out the bow.
      • Add an ornament to the center of the bow using glue.
