2.28.22 St. Patricks Day Swag -Tammy

Instructions

Prep your base.

  • Start with a 36” evergreen swag base.
  • Fluff out the evergreen pine needles of the swag.
  • Cut the swag and straighten it out.
  • Cut the swag in half.
  • Prepare 3 different types of 10” mesh.
  • Cut 6 pieces of each one.
  • Make ruffles with the mesh and add it to the swag, alternating colors as you go.
  • Make a few curls and add it to the swag.

Make and add your bow.

  • Take 2 ribbons and make a big bow with 4 loops and add 1 tail.
  • Secure the bow with pipe cleaners.
  • Add the bow to the bottom of the swag using a pipe cleaner.
  • Take a piece of ribbon, attach it to the top of the swag.
  • Make poofs throughout the swag securing them with the pine tines.
  • Dovetail ribbon tails.

Add your sign and florals.

  • Add your sign to the swag using pipe cleaners.
  • Add white hydrangeas to the swag.
  • Add some white filler flowers.
  • Add some yellow flowers.
  • Add a few cotton ball stems to the swag.
  • Add astilbe to the swag.

Extra bow.

  • Take 1 ribbon and make a bow with 4 loops.
  • Secure it with a pipe cleaner.
  • Dovetail the tails.
  • Add the bow to the top of the swag in between the florals.
  • Add an extra 2 tails to the swag using a pick.
  • Dovetail the ends.

Final touches.

  • Add some glitter leaves to your swag.
  • Take 2 green glitter picks and add it to the top left and bottom right of the swag.
  • Add some lamb’s ear to the swag.
