Instructions

Prepare the Base

  • Glue the two 10-inch pancake boards together, aligning two notches and one hole in the middle.
  • Reinforce the frame with wire to handle the weight of the design.
  • Add 18 ties total—9 on the outer ring and 9 on the inner ring using the board's notches.

Add the Mesh

  • Use 10-inch mesh.
  • Measure 12-inch poofs.
  • Skip every other tie while attaching poofs to the frame.
  • Continue around the frame, ensuring all ties are filled.
  • Cut mesh into 22-inch pieces (6 of each color: red, white, and pink).
  • Ruffle each piece and attach it to the ties, alternating colors for a layered effect.
  • Add an additional set of ruffles to fill the middle section of the frame.

Add Ribbon Tails

  • Use 13-inch ribbon tails for a balanced look.
  • Select three coordinating ribbons for a pattern (e.g., glitter, polka dots, and solids).
  • Cut 18 tails total—9 for the outer ring and 9 for the inner ring.
  • Dovetail the ribbon ends for a professional finish.
  • Alternate ribbon patterns in each tie.
  • Ensure the ribbons are fluffed and layered for fullness.

Create and Add Bows

  • Use 4-5 different ribbons.
  • Create loops ranging from 10 inches to 16 inches.
  • Layer ribbons to build a full, dramatic bow.
  • Secure the bow with a zip tie and wire.
  • Attach it to the top center of the wreath.
  • Use smaller loops and fewer ribbons for a complementary bow.
  • Attach it to the bottom of the wreath to balance the design.

Embellish the Wreath

  • Separate Ferris silk hearts into two pieces.
  • Attach mounting squares to the back of each heart.
  • Secure them to the wreath with pipe cleaners or wire.
  • Separate eucalyptus sprays and glitter ferns into smaller pieces.
  • Glue stems around the wreath frame, focusing on ties and bows for cohesion.
  • Alternate between eucalyptus and ferns to create texture.
  • Glue smaller pieces into the loops of the bows for added dimension.

Finishing Touches

  • Ensure all elements are securely glued or tied.
  • Adjust ribbons and embellishments for symmetry.
  • Use wire to create a hanger at the top of the frame.
