8.3.23 Fall Floral Evergreen with Mesh - Tammy

Instructions

  • Begin with evergreen base, fluff out pine tines
  • Using 2 colors of 10” deco mesh, cut 6 pieces of each color at 25”
  • Squeeze the evergreen base into an oval
  • Make woodland ruffles and add to base on the outside only
  • Alternate the colors, side by side, not on top of each other nor with large gaps
  • On the inner ring attach floral sprays (made into a swag) with pine tines or zip ties if needed
  • Make a bow beginning with a 4” ribbon, make a 10” tail (up), twist, 8” loop, X2, cut tail (down), dovetail
  • With 2-½” ribbon make an10” tail (up), twist, slightly smaller loop, x4, cut tail (down), dovetail, tie together with pipe cleaners
  • Add bow into center of swag with zip ties
  • Hot glue leaves around the base
  • Fluff and spit the floral spray into 3 pieces, place in various spots before you hot glue them
  • Begin to cut up the next floral spray into pieces, place in various spots with hot glue
  • Add a few berry stems under the ruffles around the base
  • Continue adding various stems, picks, and grasses to fill in empty spaces
  • Make a pick by tying a pipe cleaner to the end of piece of ribbon
  • Hot glue the pipe cleaner pick into the evergreen base under the ribbon
  • Make a roller coaster loop, pinch and tie with pine tines, dovetail ends
  • Take a long strip of ribbon, dovetail end, pinch about 8” up, attach into base with pine tines
  • Make a roller coaster loop, pinch and tie with pine tines, dovetail ends
  • To add a few pumpkins, use a nub or skewers, pierce pumpkin, hot glue, add to base
  • Add leaf to center of bow to finish off
