Bee-Utiful Embellishment Packed Wreath

Instructions

Prep Wreath Base

  • Take your 24” evergreen wreath base and fluff and separate each branch.

Add Mesh

  • Cut 25” lengths of your 10” buttercup yellow mesh. In total, you want to use half of the roll.
  • Repeat the same step with your 10” black mesh roll, cutting 8-10 pieces total.
  • Make a cruffle with a yellow mesh by letting each end roll inward, then scrunching the center together. Insert yellow cruffles into the base, securing with pine tines making sure the seam is down.
  • Alternate adding your cruffles, starting in the center, then adding one up and one down as you rotate throughout your wreath base.
  • Repeat the same process creating cruffles with your black mesh and adding throughout your wreath base. You will use less black mesh, only about 8-10 cruffles total.

Attach Bee and sign

  • Add your Bee into the lower left side of your wreath by securing with a pipe cleaner.
  • Before adding your sign, you can add some glitter dust and seal with Mod Podge to enhance and water-proof your sign.
  • Hot glue 2 hardware mounts on the back and insert a pipe cleaner through each one.
  • Hot glue a hardware mount on the side of your beehive and insert a pipe cleaner through the back. Place the beehive where you like onto your wreath and secure with a pipe cleaner. Because of the weight, you may need to hot glue an extra hardware mount onto the beehive for more stability. Adjust the beehive or surrounding mesh if necessary, from the front.
  • Attach your Bee sign to the top of the base using pipe cleaners through the hardware mounts on the back. Twist and secure.

Make Bow and Attach

  • Make a simple bow using your 4” yellow and black polka-dot ribbon with 2 loops and long tails. Add another layer of Bee ribbon with 2 loops and tails. Add the final layer of black gingham ribbon with 2 loops and long tails. Secure the bow with a pipe cleaner and attach to the bottom rim of the wreath base. Trim your tails at an angle or dovetail the bottoms.
  • Make another simple terry bow with 2 loops and 10” tails. The first layer of ribbon is the yellow with small black polka-dots. The second layer is your black gingham, then the Bee ribbon, and lastly the yellow swiss dot ribbon. Tie together with a pipe cleaner in the center.
  • For this bow, dovetail the ends at the same length, and fluff your loops before you add to the wreath. Add your bow to the first inner ring above the Beehive.

Add Greenery

  • Grab your boxwood bushes and hot glue into your base throughout your wreath.
  • Next, take your golden rod bush and cut into several pieces. Use your pick machine to feed a pick into each piece. Hot glue into your base throughout your wreath to add some floral touch.

Add Sunflower Stems

  • Take a few sunflower stems and clip the flowers off. Add some sunflowers throughout your wreath, securing with hot glue.
