Materials

  • 1 unit oval grapevine
  • 1 unit metal bike wheel
  • 1 pack zip ties
  • 1 roll mesh
  • 2 rolls ribbon
  • 1 pack pipe cleaner
  • 1 unit gingham star spray
  • 1-2 units blue and white star sprays
  • 1 bunch gingham spirals
  • 1 bunch small blue daisies
  • 1 bunch red carnations

Instructions

Prep your base.

  • Start with an oval grapevine.
  • Take your metal bike wheel and attach it to your grapevine to the bottom, slightly to the right. Secure it with zip ties.
  • Take a red pencil work form and unfold it.
  • Wrap it over the top of your grapevine twice to create two rows of twist ties. Secure it with zip ties.
  • Cut 5 x 17” pieces of border mesh.
  • Cut 5 x 17” pieces of a metal mesh.
  • Take a piece of mesh, roll the ends in slightly and pinch the middle together to get a cruffle. Add your cruffle into your wreath into one of the twist ties.
  • Repeat this with the rest of your cruffles, alternating colors as you go.

Make and add your bow.

  • Take a large ribbon and make a big bow with 2 big loops and 1 long tail.
  • Take a smaller ribbon, lay it on top and make another bow with 2 loops and 1 long tail.
  • Secure your bow together with a pipe cleaner.
  • Add your bow to the top right of your grapevine, securing it with one of the twist ties.
  • Fluff out your bow. Dovetail your short tails.
  • Take your long tails and make 2 large poofs to the left of your grapevine, securing them with twist ties.
  • Dove tail the ends.
  • Take some more strips of your ribbon, layer them and add them into a twist tie below your other tails.
  • Dovetail the ends.

Adding your flowers and decorations.

  • Take a gingham star spray, separate the pieces apart and add the pieces into your wreath in and around your mesh and bow.
  • Take some blue and white star sprays and add them into your wreath.
  • Add in some gingham spirals and secure them in around the other decorations.
  • Take some small blue daisies and add them into your wreath in between your mesh and bow. Securing them with hot glue.
  • Take a red carnation bunch, separate them and hot glue them in.
  • Take some extra gingham spirals, stretch them out and add them into your wreath where there needs some height and pop.
