Boujee on a Budget - Black and White Winter Wreath

Equipment

  • 1 Pair of scissors
  • 1 Wire cutter
  • 1 Mesh Cutter
  • 1 Hot glue gun

Materials

  • 4 rolls 10-inch mesh variety of colors/patterns
  • 1/4 roll 21" mesh
  • 1 24" evergreen wreath
  • 1 3.5" ribbon
  • 1 2.5" ribbon
  • 1 1.5" ribbon
  • 3 flocked eucalyptus stems

Instructions

  • Fluff out your evergreen wreath
  • Using your 21" mesh, create 8 poofs throughout the wreath base, zig zagging from the outside to inside.
  • Zip tie your initial tail to the back of the wreath frame.
  • Secure the poofs using the pine tines.
  • Cut your each of your 10" mesh into 4 - 30" pieces
  • Grab a single piece of cut mesh and gather at the middle to create a ruffle.
  • Secure the mesh ruffle using the pine tines.
  • Alternate the mesh color throughout the wreath base, covering the open spaces between the mesh poofs.
  • Start with your 3.5" ribbon, creating a 9" tail. Loop your ribbon around creating a 8" loop on each side. Cut a 9" tail opposite of your 1st tail.
  • Next add in your 2.5" ribbon, creating a 10" tail. Loop your ribbon around creating a 7.5" loop on each side. Cut a 10" tail opposite of your 1st tail.
  • Next add in you 1.5" ribbon, creating a shorter tail. Make 4" loops, this time creating 3 loops.
  • Secure the bow with a pipe cleaner. Trim the excess pipe cleaner ends.
  • Fluff out your bow.
  • Dove tail your ribbon tails.
  • Use another pipe cleaner to secure bow to the wreath base.
  • Curl your excess tails.
  • Next cut all three ribbons into 14-15" sections, to create ribbon tails. Stack the 3.5" ribbon and 2.5" ribbon, dove tailing the ends. Then add 2 sets of the 2.5" and 1.5" ribbon tails.
  • Trim your stems of flocked eucalyptus and hot glue in.
