Bunny Sitter Tobacco Basket

Instructions

Prep your Tobacco Basket

  • Place garland on the edge of the left side and button only by feeding pine tines to the sides and attaching them all the way around. Like their ends are hugging the sides.

Prep Mesh and add

  • Cut 5 18 inch pieces of 3 different color meshes
  • Make cruffles and attach to garland by using pinetines to hold them in
  • Alternate colors

Add greenery

  • Using stem cutter and cut mix leave and fern pieces into smaller sections
  • Start by placing your greenery pieces into the garland. Add hot glue before placing
  • Alternate adding fern pieces and mix leaves spaced out around your mesh additions
  • Using your longer fern pieces add them into the bottom as a waterfall feature. This means stem up and greenery coming downward

Attach Bunny Sitter

  • You can add a belt to bunny using a piece of ribbon of choice
  • Prop bunny right up inside of basket.
  • Cut two tiny slits on her back to slide a zip tie through
  • Using zip tie attach bunny to basket

Add Ribbon

  • Weave velvet ribbon through garland.
  • Leave a good tail and find a spot at the top to start it
  • Then make a loop and use pine tines to tuck it to garland
  • Then make a tail and cut
  • Dovetail end of ribbons
  • Repeat again on left side

Make a bow and attach

  • Make a long tail and squish it
  • Make a long tail and squish it
  • Make another loop from back to front, pinch it and squeeze it in the middle
  • Pull up ears make sure same height
  • Repeat same steps with second ribbon making loops a tad big shorter
  • Secure with a pipe cleaner, twist it all together
  • Using pipe cleaner attach bow to basket right under the bunny’s feet

Add ribbon tails

  • Cut 6 inch ribbon pieces
  • Fold in half, squish it
  • Use pine tines to attach to garland on left side
  • Dovetail ribbon ends

Add floral pieces

  • Cut stems down and dip in hot glue and place floral stems ascending down the left side of basket
  • Add more floral pieces around bow

Add base fillers

  • Adding a good bit of glue on the bottom place base fillers in greenery in spaces you fill need filling.
