Instructions

Prepare the Garland Base

  • Start with a 6-foot garland. Cut off 2 feet to make it 4 feet long (this size is great for shipping and packaging).
  • Fluff the garland to give it some volume. Focus on separating the branches so it looks fuller.

Add Glittered Magnolia Leaves

  • Cut the stems to size, leaving about 1 inch below the wire wrapping to prevent unraveling.
  • Place the stems at intervals across the garland, alternating their direction (leaves pointing left and right).
  • Use the garland ties to secure each stem. Fluff out the leaves for a natural, full look.

Layer in Maidenhair Fern

  • Alternate red and silver maidenhair fern sprays for balance.
  • Add one spray per foot of garland. Tie them in using the garland ties where the magnolia leaves are secured.
  • Fluff the fern sprays to ensure they add texture and dimension.

Add Ribbon Details

  • Ribbon Tails:
  • Cut six ribbon tails, each 16-17 inches long, from the 4-inch red-and-white stripe ribbon.
  • Dovetail the ends of each ribbon for a polished look.
  • Attach them evenly throughout the garland using the garland ties.
  • Ribbon Loops:
  • Use the crackle red ribbon to make loops and rollercoasters.
  • Measure 11 inches for each loop, creating 5.5-inch loops.
  • Add tails and rollercoaster sections between the loops to create movement.
  • Repeat the pattern symmetrically on both sides of the garland.

Incorporate Poinsettias

  • Alternate between red and silver poinsettias, using one per foot of garland.
  • Attach them securely with the garland ties or zip ties.
  • Fluff the petals to give them a realistic look and ensure even spacing.

Add Ornaments

  • Use candy apple red ornaments to fill in gaps.
  • Attach the ornaments using pipe cleaners or zip ties to secure them to the garland.
  • Place ornaments in a balanced triangular pattern for visual interest.

Create and Attach the Center Bow

  • Use the remaining ribbons to create a large bow for the garland's center.
  • Make four loops with the crackle red ribbon (two on each side).
  • Add two smaller loops with the red-and-white stripe ribbon.
  • Secure the bow with a zip tie and attach it to the garland's middle point.

Secure Everything with Zip Ties

  • Flip the garland over and zip-tie all stems, sprays, and ornaments to ensure they stay in place.
  • Tighten the zip ties carefully to prevent damage to the decorations.
