Christmas Garland - Tammy

Materials

  • Basic Unwired Garland-Hobby Lobby or Walmart
  • 21" Mesh- Deco Exchange
  • 4" wired ribbon- Craig Bachman Imports
  • 2.5" snowman ribbon- Deco Exchange
  • Assorted Greenery Picks- Hobby Lobby
  • Galvanized Star- Polka Dot Wreath Co.
  • Poinsetta Picks- Hobby Lobby
  • Curly Buffalo Plaid Picks- Hobby Lobby
  • Peppermint swirl and sweater ornaments- Hobby Lobby
  • Zip Ties and Zip Tie Mounts
  • Gorilla Glue

Instructions

Prepping your base.

  • Start with a skinny Christmas garland base.
  • Zip tie the ends together and along the garland.
  • Fluff out your pine needles.
  • Take a 10” red mesh and cut 4 x 20” pieces.
  • Take a lamb's ear garland and add it onto your base, securing it with zip ties.
  • Take a piece of mesh and ruffle it by pinching the middle together.
  • Add it into your garland, repeat with the rest of the pieces.

Adding ribbon.

  • Take some ribbon and weave it throughout the garland, securing it down with zip ties.
  • Dovetail the ends.

Adding greenery.

  • Add in some glitter frosted grass pieces by your mesh and ribbon.
  • Take some frosted berries and add them into your design.
  • Add in some pine.
  • Add in a few white poinsettia flowers.

Extras.

  • Take some curly picks and add them in around the other elements.
  • Take 2 galvanized stars and add them on every other red mesh.

Add your bow.

  • Take a ribbon and make a bow with 4 x 8” loops.
  • Secure it together with a pipe cleaner.
  • Attach it to your garland on top of a red mesh that doesn’t have a star.
  • Make another identical bow.
  • Add it into the other open spot.

Final touches.

  • Add in some cable knit red ball decorations.
  • Add a white ball into the middle of your bows.
