  • 2.5” Plaid Ribbon sku#D72452-40-06
  • 2.5” Natural Open Ribbon sku#47473-40-15 from DecoExchange

Instructions

  • Start by attaching airy pine stems as the outline, letting some pieces flow down the sides for a natural look.
  • Secure with zip ties.
  • Layer additional pine stems and cedar to fill in gaps, creating a balanced and bushy appearance.
  • Alternate stem placements to keep an airy feel.

Bow

  • First Layer: 2.5 inches
  • Loop Size: Approximately 8 inches for each loop
  • Tail Length: About 10 inches (left long for adjustment)
  • Second Layer (Grandpa’s Sweater Ribbon): 2.5 inches
  • Loop Size: Slightly smaller than the first layer, around 7.5 inches
  • Tail Length: Left long for flexibility
  • Third Layer (Cream Ribbon): 1.5 inches
  • Loop Size: About 7 inches, slightly smaller than the previous layer
  • Final Layer: 2.5 inches
  • Loop Size: Same as the previous layer (about 7 inches)
  • This layer adds extra fullness, and she keeps these loops slightly smaller than the base layer but larger than the third layer.
  • Layer with glitter and birch twigs
  • Check for Balance: Work in triangles with the pine and glitter accents to maintain visual flow. Leave some grapevine exposed for a more organic, open look.
  • Final Touches: Adjust ribbon tails and bow loops. Optional – add tiny ornaments or twinkle lights for a festive glow.

Notes

Tips
Layering is key. Use greens with different textures and colors to add dimension.
Adjust as You Go: Don’t be afraid to trim and rearrange pieces until the look feels balanced.
Length Matters: Keeping greenery stems longer helps create an extended, over-the-top look.
This wreath is versatile – add a cardinal or small winter decorations to personalize it for the season. Coach Meghan encourages you to experiment, use lots of glue, and keep layering until the wreath feels full and festive. Happy crafting!
