Door Hanger with Florals

Instructions

Prepare Your Base:

  • Start with your 18" round wooden door hanger. If needed, lightly clean the surface before decorating.

Create the Bow:

  • Begin with your largest ribbon (2.5” purple daisy). Measure out approximately 6” tails and create 6" loops on each side. Repeat for two loops on each side.
  • Next, add the 1.5” pink lace edge ribbon. Use slightly shorter tails and 5" loops, again doing two loops per side.
  • Finish with the multi-color 1.5” ribbon using about 4.5” loops and shorter tails.
  • Stack the ribbons, pinch tightly in the center, and secure with a zip tie.
  • Use a pipe cleaner or pencil tie to attach the bow to your sign.

Attach the Bow to the Sign:

  • Place the bow slightly off-center, either at the top or bottom depending on your preference.
  • Use the pipe cleaner to staple it directly into the wooden hanger (use a staple gun with 1/4” staples). Twist tight from the back.

Add Floral Embellishments:

  • Pull small clusters or stems from leftover florals.
  • Start tucking greenery into the bow loops and tails, adding dimension.
  • Use hot glue or staple stems as needed to secure them to the wood base.
  • Fill in with any extra flowers or accent sprigs, making sure everything is balanced.

Final Touches:

  • Fluff the bow loops and arrange the tails so they drape naturally.
  • Check all attachments for security.
  • Hang and enjoy your colorful floral creation!
