Prepare the Base:
Start with the 18” door hanger as your base. Ensure it's clean and ready for decoration.
Create the Bow:
Cut Ribbon Lengths:
From the 2.5” burlap ribbon, cut two 24-inch pieces.
From the 1.5” polka dot burlap ribbon, cut two 22-inch pieces.
From the 1.5” scallop edge ribbon, cut two 20-inch pieces.
Take one 24-inch burlap ribbon piece, create a loop by overlapping the ends by 2 inches, forming a 22-inch loop. Repeat with the second piece.
Repeat the looping process with the polka dot and scallop edge ribbons.
Stack the loops on top of each other, starting with the largest (burlap) at the bottom, followed by the polka dot, and scallop edge on top.
Pinch the center of the stacked ribbons and secure tightly with floral wire or a zip tie.
Fluff the Bow:
Adjust and spread out each loop to create a full and balanced bow.
Attach the Bow to the Door Hanger:
Position the bow at your desired location on the door hanger.
Secure it in place using hot glue or by tying it with additional floral wire.
Add Greenery:
Using wire cutters, trim the asparagus fern bush into smaller, manageable sections.
Tuck the fern pieces around the bow, ensuring even distribution on both sides.
Secure each piece with hot glue, making sure they are firmly attached to the base.
Final Touches:
Ensure all elements are securely attached and the design is balanced.
Fluff the bow and adjust the greenery as needed to achieve your desired look.
