Instructions

Prepping your base

  • Start with a circular wire base.
  • Take 21” burlap and add eight 8” poofs to the top of your frame. Securing them with pipe cleaner ties.
  • Repeat the process on the bottom of the frame but make 10” poofs.
  • Cut 18 10” strips of mesh.
  • Make ruffles by pinching together the middle of the mesh.
  • Attach them to the center of each twist tie.

Making your bows.

  • Start with 4 rolls of ribbon. (3 that are 1.5” and 1 that is 2.5”)
  • Cut 2 - 24” wires.
  • Layer your 1.5” ribbons on top of each other.
  • Create 3 loops either side. Making sure to twist before each loop to make sure the pretty side is always showing, securing with wire after each twist. (your bow loops should be getting smaller as it gets to the top.
  • Take your 2.5” ribbon, dove tail it and make 1 loop either side. (This goes underneath your other ribbons so should be bigger.
  • Repeat step 5 with the same ribbon, making it slightly bigger.
  • Make sure the center of your bow is secured well with wire in the middle.
  • Fluff out your bottom ribbons first, making sure you have a loop and tail either side and repeat with the next one.
  • Fluff out the top ribbons, separating the 3 ribbons each time and pulling in different directions each time.
  • Repeat this entire process again for 2 more bows but make them smaller in size. (3 loops with the 3 ribbons and 1 loop with the 2.5” ribbon.)
  • Repeat the fluff process.

Adding your sign and decorations.

  •  Attach pipe cleaner ties to the corners of your sign.
  • Attach you sign to the top left of your wreath by securing it to the wire frame with the pipe cleaners.
  • Add your big bow directly below your sign and secure it with your wire.
  • Add your 2 smaller bows on the top left and right of the big bow.
  • Cut 18 pieces of ribbon for ribbon tails. (Use all 4 ribbons)
  • Cut 9 - 24” pieces of deco flex tubing.
  • Cut 9 - 36” pieces of deco flex ribbon mesh.
  • Layer 2 ribbon tails on top of each other, pinch the middle and clip it.
  • Create a simple bow (1 loop each side and 4” tails) with the deco flex ribbon. Layer it on top of the ribbon tails.
  • Create a simple bow with your deco flex tubing and add it into the center of your tails and bow.
  • Secure it together to make a bunch and add it into a twist tie on the outer edge of your wreath.
  • Repeat this process until you have covered all the twist ties on the outer edge. Make sure to alternate the ribbons as you go.
  • Create 7 more bunches to fill in the gaps securing them with twist ties.
  • Fluff out all your bows and poofs for the final touch.
