Ghostie Cookie Wreath ~ Fancy

Instructions

  • Prep single-ring  evergreen base by fluffing out pine tines
  • Cut 10” deco mesh 22” strips x9 each of two colors
  • Make cruffles with the mesh, push all the way down to the metal and twist between pine tines
  • Alternating between the two colors, continue throughout the base (like an hourglass)
  • Place each cruffles next together, not leaving any gaps
  • Squeeze base into an oval shape
  • Fluff all the cruffles
  • Decide where you want to place the attachment
  • Make a nest for the attachment by lightly pushing down the mesh where it will be attached
  •   Attach with twist ties in the back of the base
  • The bow will be attached in a diagonal from the attachment
  • Make the bow
  • Using a 4” ribbon, measure tail, pleat/pinch, loop, twist, loop, pinch
  • Using a 2-½” ribbon, measure tail, pleat/pinch, make loop about 1” smaller, twist, loop, pinch
  • Add layers with a zip tie and then add into the pine times just below the attachment
  • Fluff loops, trim tails and dovetail, curl ends (optional)
  • Prep the picks, ball ornaments and floral sprays
  • Remove the silver top from the ornaments, add hot glue to top of ornament and add into the mesh in a triangle method
  • Add the next pick with hot glue in triangle method opposite of the previous layer
  • Using the smaller pick, following the triangle method, add with hot glue
  • Continuing the triangle method add the trio cluster spray with hot glue
  • Pull apart the grass spray, cut the stems at an angle, add with hot glue in some of the empty spaces, arranging in a triangle pattern
