Instructions

Create the Base Layer:

  • Start by shaping and securing the clematis leaf stems to form the overall outline of the garland across the arch.
  • Use floral wire or zip ties to secure each stem in place along the curve of the arch.

Add Ruscus and Ferns:

  • Alternate adding rabbit fern and sage ruscus stems throughout the base.
  • Tuck in pieces to fill any sparse areas and extend greenery down each side for a flowing, draping look.

Layer in Mini Leaf Branches:

  • Add the mini leaf branches throughout to break up the greens and provide visual texture.

Make and Attach the Bows:

  • Create three multi-loop bows using all three ribbons.
  • Place one large bow in the center and one on each side of the garland.
  • Secure tightly using wire or zip ties.

Finishing Touches:

  • Dovetail ribbon tails for a clean finish.
  • Adjust the greenery and bows for balance and dimension.
  • Use hot glue to secure any loose elements.
