Instructions

Prepare the Wreath Form:

  • Begin by attaching 17-18 ties around the frame.
  • Unwrap the 10-inch mesh. You'll be creating both poofs and ruffles for the wreath, using 8 to 10-inch poofs and 25 to 30-inch ruffles.
  • Start with poofs. Attach the mesh to the metal frame and make 10-inch poofs around the top and bottom of the wreath frame.
  • Make the Poofs:
  • For the poofs, measure about 10 inches between twists, and secure each section with the ties around the wreath.
  • Continue making poofs around the top and bottom rings of the wreath form.

Cut the Ruffles:

  • Using your rotary cutter, cut 25-inch pieces of mesh for the ruffles. You’ll need about 18 ruffles in total.
  • Roll the edges of each piece to create "taquitos" or small curls, then ruffle the middle of the piece for a fuller effect.

Attach the Ruffles:

  • Layer the ruffles into the wreath by placing them inside the ties, alternating between the top and bottom rings. Ensure they are evenly distributed to add fullness.

Shape the Wreath:

  • Adjust the form by shaping it into an oval (optional). Fluff the mesh to make sure it looks full and even, making sure the ruffles are kissing each other to create a seamless look.

Add Large Attachments:

  • Use hardware mounts and/or zip ties to securely attach larger elements like the Regency gems and sequin pumpkins. Twist wire or use glue for added security.

Create the Bow:

  • Use the Easy Bow Maker to create a large, multi-loop bow with your ribbons. Start with an 18-20 inch tail and 8 to 10-inch loops, and layer additional ribbons, decreasing the loop size slightly for each ribbon layer.
  • Add a center loop (about 4 inches) for a polished look.
  • Secure the bow with a zip tie and add a pipe cleaner for attaching it to the wreath.

Attach the Bow:

  • Place the bow securely on the wreath using the pipe cleaner to tie it to the wreath form. Make sure it’s tight and in place.

Fluff the Bow and Add Ribbon Tails:

  • Fluff the loops of the bow for fullness. Cut and dovetail the ends of the ribbon for a finished look.
  • Add extra ribbon tails (about 22 to 26 inches) throughout the wreath for added texture.

Add Picks and Additional Embellishments:

  • Insert the assorted picks (velvet, leopard print, and pink disc picks) into the wreath, making sure they are securely tied or glued to the form.
  • Layer additional embellishments such as black locust leaves or gold accents, balancing them evenly throughout the wreath.

Finish and Final Touches:

  • Make sure all the attachments are secure and fluff the entire wreath to ensure fullness and balance.
  • Check for any gaps or exposed wiring and adjust as needed by adding extra ribbon or picks.
