Large Blue and Silver Disco Ball Swag - Tammy

Instructions

  • Prep the flocked evergreen by squeezing together into a tight oval
  • Add a piece of garland down the middle
  • Connect three 6” zip ties and fasten in the back of base to add support
  • Flatten the back
  • Attach some of the evergreen twist with the garland twist
  • Fluff all the branches out
  • Prep the disco ball ornaments, make a hole with u-pin in top of ornament, add hot glue and put u-pin back in
  • Push a pipe cleaner under the u-pin, add more hot glue, press u-pin securely down
  • Allow them to dry
  • Make a bow
  • Using 4” ribbon, 10” tails, twist, pinch, loop 8” loops, x2, add a pipe cleaner
  • Using 2-½” ribbon, 8” tails, twist, pinch, loop 8” loops x2, add a pipe cleaner
  • Using 1-½” ribbon, 8” tails, twist, pinch, loop 7’’ loops x4, dovetail end
  • Cut a 14” strip of the 2-½” ribbon, dovetail and layer on top
  • Using ⅞” ribbon, 8” tails, twist, pinch, loop 6-½” loops x4, dovetail ends
  • Attach all layers together with a pipe cleaner
  • Fluff all the loops and  tails of the bow
  • Cut 20” strips of deco mesh x8 of first color
  • Make a woodland ruffles, add about 4 pieces on each side and tue with the pine tines (not into the garland)
  • Add disco balls, starting at the bottom, using the pipe cleaner and twist them together with the pine tines, add hot glue if needed
  • Add the bow to the top of the base above the disco balls
  • Make a fake tail using the 4” ribbon, pinch one end and tie it in the bottom of the base, dovetail the ends
  • Make a bow, using the 2-½” ribbon and make a clover bow (4 loops), add into the bottom of the base with the pine tines
  • Using two different colors of -½” ribbons, add one of the ends under the top bow and make a roller coaster loop, and tail, fluff out
  • Continuing with the 2 colors, make a tail, roller coaster loop, tail on the opposite of the swag
  • Prep floral pick, separate into three smaller pieces and add with hot glue on both sides of base
  • Separate the next sparkle pick into smaller pieces and add with hot glue on both sides
  • Using garland ball pick, separate the balls off the stem and using hot glue add into a couple of the tails and in center of bows
  • Separate an evergreen winter spray into smaller pieces and using hot glue put around the disco balls and the bows
  • Separate a small ball picks into pieces and using hot glue put in various spots throughout the base
  • Add a few pieces of glitter spray, curl the ends and add with hot glue in various spots throughout the base
  • Fill in any spaces with other floral sprays and /or picks
