Mardi Gras Wreath - Mellie Mel
Equipment
- 1 Scissors
- 1 Wire cutter
- 1 Hot glue pot or glue gun
Materials
- 1 14" deco frame
- 12 twist ties
- 3 rolls 10" mesh (Purple, Green & Gold)
- 8 stems filler florals 60919 (4 white, 4 purple)
- 2 sprays Mardi Gras sequins glitter wild twig sprays HG3170
- 1 2.5" ribbon
- 1 1.5" ribbon
- 1 7/8" ribbon
- 1 metal sign
Instructions
Prep your base.
- Start with a 14” wire wreath base..
- Take 3 types of 10” mesh and cut 4 x 30” pieces of each.
- Add 12 pipe cleaners to the wire base.
- Take the mesh and make cruffles by curling in the edges and pinching the middle together.
- Add the cruffles to the inner and outer rings of the wire base, alternating colors as you go.
Add your ribbon tails, sprays and florals.
- Take 2 filler flowers.
- Add 2 glitter sprays to it.
- Secure it with a zip tie.
- Take 2 ribbons and cut a few pieces of each.
- Layer the 2 ribbons in groups to make ribbon tails.
- Dovetail the ends.
- Add the ribbon tail with the filler flower bush to the wreath.
- Take 1 ribbon and make a half bow with 1 loop.
- Add the half bow to the ribbon tail.
- Repeat above 11 more times.
Add your sign.
- Take your sign and add wire to the sides.
- Add your sign to the center of the design.
