Mother’s Day Grapevine - Meghan

Materials

  • 14” Round Grapevine wreath DECOE-034 from decoexchange
  • Pink filler bush 60919-PK from decoexchange
  • Ficus 67002 from decoexchange
  • Berry eucalyptus pick 62944CM from decoexchange
  • Hot Glue

Ribbon

  • 1” impressionist dot Farrisilk ribbon RK180-14
  • 1.5” faux burlap pink ribbon from sams club

Instructions

  • Prep the greenery by trimming off the smaller stems from the main stems
  • Shape the stems by bending the ends
  • Start by laying one of the doubles counterclockwise all the way around
  • Layer the single stems on top and bend them in a S formation, stair-stepping them
  • Zip tie the stems to the grapevine
  • Prep the floral stems by first fluffing them out, trim the excess stem off, cut at an angle
  • Work the entire piece into grapevine and zip tie
  • Manipulate through the greenery
  • Repeat steps 6-8 three more times
  • Make a bow starting with 1-½” ribbon, pinch, then place a 1” ribbon on top and pinch, make a 7” loop, cinch off with pipe cleaner, separate the loops
  • Add to a space that needs some volume, don’t cut tails
  • Make about 12” roller coaster, cinch, and tie off with pipe cleaner
  • Continue with another roller coaster, cinch and tie off with pipe cleaner, trim off leaving about 7” tail
  • Repeat starting with steps 10-13
  • Bring some of the florals through the loops
  • Prep the next greenery stems by removing all the stem pieces
  • Add some pieces to cover the pipe cleaners and any visible holes
  • Alternating some of the pieces in the loops
