Nutcracker Beauty

Instructions

Prep your sign

  • Use gorilla glue to add your wall mounts onto the back of your Nutcracker sign. Hot glue one feather and rhinestone in the center of the hat.

Prep your wreath base

  •  Fluff your evergreen flocked wreath base. Squeeze the center of the base to create an oval shape.

Prep and add mesh

  • Cut 6 or 7, 20” lengths of pink snowball mesh. Do the same with your turquoise value mesh, starting out with a clean edge. Repeat the same with your white metallic mesh.
  • Take a piece of mesh and gather up the center to create a butterfly ruffle. Add your mesh ruffles around the wreath base, alternating each color, and secure with a pine tine.

Add Nutcracker

  • Secure the Nutcracker on the right of your wreath base using pipe cleaners. Add another pink mesh ruffle underneath the Nutcracker if necessary.

Add Ribbon Tails

  • Start with the sliver and blue polka-dot ribbon and add some ribbon tails throughout the perimeter of your wreath base. Dovetail each end and secure with pine tines.

Add Bow

  • Make a funky bow with a single loop from a 26” length of the pink vintage ornament ribbon. Add a few funky bows throughout and the base.
  • Make a large bow starting with 4 big loops of the silver and blue polka-dot. Add in the vintage ornament ribbon with 4 slightly smaller loops. Lastly, add the cotton candy felt ribbon with a single loop. Secure with a pipe cleaner and add to the bottom of the wreath base.

Add Ornaments and Picks

  • Grab a large blue and white polka-dot ornament and hot glue into the top of your base. Add some more large pink and blue ornaments with hot glue throughout the perimeter.
  • Take your Christmas lights craft pick and separate each individual light with wire cutters. Add Christmas light picks throughout your wreath, using hot glue to secure.
  • Separate each stem of your twisted candy cane craft pick and add a floral pick to each one. Insert separate candy cane picks wherever you need some movement on your piece. Secure with hot glue.
  • Grab 3 of your sliver fern leaf craft picks and cut into several different pieces. Hot glue the silver ferns about 5-7 inches apart around your wreath base. Try to avoid tearing any mesh when adding your embellishments.
  • Finish off your large bow by adding a finial ornament to the center, securing with hot glue or pipe cleaners. Add any more Christmas ornaments you’d like to complete your Nutcracker Beauty!
