Patriotic Centerpiece - Coach Jordan

Equipment

  • 4 or 5" container Dollar tree
  • 6-1/2" round disc Hobby lobby
  • Felt or fabric
  • Ribbon
  • 2 Blue 60919
  • 1 Cream 60919
  • 3 Glitter berry picks Hobby lobby
  • 3 Red glitter star picks Michaels
  • 1 White glitter star picks
  • Doll or character Optional

Instructions

Prep your base.

  • Start by wrapping a 6.5” round disk with felt using glue.
  • Trim off the excess felt.
  • Take a 4” round container and add a 4” ribbon around the edges using glue.
  • Take a 2.5” ribbon and add it around the edge of the container.
  • Add another 1.5” ribbon over the center of the 2.5” ribbon.
  • Add the bottom of the container to the disk using glue to make a top hat.
  • Add foam blocks inside the container using glue.
  • Add in some skewers to stabilize the foam blocks.
  • Take a 10” mesh and cut 6 x 10” pieces.
  • Take a 1.5 “ ribbon and cut 6 x 11” pieces
  • Dovetail the ends.
  • Take the mesh and fold in the edges and add your ribbon to it using a u-pin.
  • Add the mesh and ribbon to the foam block using the u-pin.
  • Repeat above instruction no. 13 - 14 for the remaining mesh and ribbon.

Add in your picks and sprays.

  • Add in some blue filler flowers to the center of the foam block.
  • Add in a few white filler flowers.
  • Add in some red glitter leaf sprays.
  • Add in a few white berry sprays.
  • Add in some red and white glitter star picks.

Add in your doll.

  • Add in your doll to the design using a pipe cleaner.
