PATRIOTIC EVERGREEN

Instructions

  • Prep Evergreen base
  • Fluff the pine tines
  • Cut deco mesh into twelve 28” strips
  • Ruffle each deco mesh stripe and tie it into base using pine tines
  • Place the first four pieces by centering them around the base
  • Fill in the empty spaces until all twelve deco mesh strips have been used
  • Secure the wood sign
  • Cut the existing string in two; knot the ends, so that they do not leave the holes bare
  • Cut small pieces of cardboard or felt and staple two pipe cleaners to the back of the sign
  • Add the sign to the evergreen base
  • Make and add a large bow (Lisa Bow)
  • Using the 2 ½” ribbon and measure an 8” tail
  • Make three 6” loops, pinching and twisting between them.
  • Cut your ribbon, leaving another 8” tail; place in the EZ bow maker
  • Repeat the above instruction for the second 2 ½” ribbon
  • Using the first and second 1½” ribbons, measure an 8” tail
  • Make three 5” loops, pinching and twisting between them
  • With the last 1½” ribbon, make an 8” tail
  • Make one loop 4” and then make three 5” loops, pinching and twisting between them
  • When placing the different ribbons in the EZ bow maker, alternate the placement of the loops (if two loops on left side, place next ribbon color with one loop to the left until complete)
  • Secure the center of your ribbons with a pipe cleaner, adjusting your final, smaller loop to cover the pipe cleaner.
  • Move your ribbon tails to face downwards and spread out your loops and dovetail them.
  • Attach your bow to the bottom of your wreath, looping the pipe cleaner through your evergreen base.
  • Fluff the bow after it is attached to the base.
  • Make 5 additional smaller bows 
  • Create 4 bows using one 2 ½” ribbon and one 1½” ribbon, using the smaller one on top of the other
  • Make an 8” tails (can cut shorter later), and make2 loops at 5 ½”
  • Add bow into pine tines of every other ruffle
  • Fluff after placing bows on base
  • Dovetail the tails
  • Add greenery sprays
  • Cut the greenery sprays (if they are pushables, push them all the way up)
  • Attach them to your evergreen base with hot glue all the way around, alternating them up and down the base
  • Continue with second greenery spray; adding with hot glue around the base and in the large bow
