Instructions
Prep the Garland Base:
Fluff out the red garland and shape it for a balanced, full appearance. Spread out branches to create anchor points for mesh and ribbon.
Add the Mesh:
Cut the stripe mesh into 10-12 inch strips or 15-inch ruffles (based on desired fullness).
Add mesh to the garland using the twist ties built into the base or secure with zip ties.
Alternate direction and layering for dimension.
Make the Bow:
Create a large patriotic bow with 5-6 loops of the 4-inch ribbon, layered with 2.5-inch and 1-inch ribbons.
Use a zip tie or pipe cleaner to hold the bow together.
Place the bow at the center or slightly off-center depending on your layout style.
Add Ribbon Tails:
Cut 12-14 inch ribbon strips with dovetail ends.
Layer a 2.5-inch ribbon with a 1-inch ribbon and pinch in the center to form tails.
Secure tails throughout the garland, alternating direction and ribbon combos.
Final Touches:
Fluff all ribbon loops and tails.
Fill in gaps with remaining ribbon or mesh.
Check the back and underside to make sure everything is secure and evenly spaced.
