Recorded Tutorial-Easter Garland

Materials

  • 9ft garland 8911273079  (this one was from At Home however the cheapy garland from Michaels is my favorite)
  • 21 inch mesh RE1014X1, pink and blue stripes Dealers Discount Crafts
  • 21 inch mesh XB1044-05 Wide Weave Mesh
  • 10 inch mesh  XB104410-03
  • 2.5 inch ribbon Plaid 841-40-024
  • 2.5 inch ribbon FLoral 93968 19152 Sams Club
  • 1.5 inch ribbon Easter Eggs 831-09-105 DecoExchange
  • 1.5 inch ribbon Bunny 831-09-004 DecoExchange
  • Tulips, 3 colors, 2 bunches of each (one stem of each color glued around each bow, therefore the number of bushes you need may vary), Michaels

Instructions

  • Stretch out and fluff the garland
  • Add the floral garland on top of the evergreen garland close to the spine
  • Attach with the pine tine in between the pick clusters
  • Determine the placement of each pick clusters, pull them up
  • Make a 3 loop bow and tuck into the garland
  • Using 1-½” ribbon make a 12” tail, 9” loops (18 inches from the pinch); make 2 loops
  • Repeat step 6 for next layer, make a little smaller than the first layer, tie into the garland
  • Repeat step 6 again with another 1-½” and 2-½” ribbons; 12” tails, 9” loop; make 2 loops
  • As you add the bows, spread them out and work the florals in and round the bow
  • Make two more bow exactly like the first two
  • Place a full floral stem into each of the bows and fluff around the bows
  • Dovetail all ribbons
  • Layer another floral garland on top using the pine tines
  • Go through and fluff each bow and florals
  • A Bonus Tip
  • Using some of the left over floral picks and garland
  • Take a small piece of garland
  • Layer pieces of the stems and tie with pine tines; Fluff out
  • Make a bow with a long tail and two 7” loops using all the ribbons
  • Each layer the loops should be slightly smaller; the final ribbon should be a one loop bow
  • Attach all layers together with pipe cleaners
  • Add bow to the center of garland with pine tines
  • Dovetail the ends
  • Can be used as a lantern swag
