Instructions
Prepare Your Garland Base
Choose a garland base appropriate for your space. For a fireplace mantle, a four-foot garland works well.
Lay your garland flat and use small weights (like sign extenders) to keep it in place while working.
Add Deco Mesh for Volume
Cut your mesh into 8-10 inch pieces.
Use the "poof method" to create loops along the garland. Secure each loop with the pine needles from the garland or a zip tie.
Distribute the mesh evenly for a balanced look.
Create Floral Bundles
Group floral picks (silver, blue, and white ferns) into bundles and secure them with zip ties.
Space these bundles along the garland, focusing on areas where you want the most impact.
Layer Ribbon
Layer two ribbons (gold and silver) for dimension. Drape the ribbon loosely across the garland, securing it with the pine needles or zip ties.
Aim for big, drapey loops to create a luxurious feel.
Add Ornaments
Cluster ornaments in groups of three or four, mixing textures and sizes for variety.
Secure the clusters along the garland, hiding any mechanics with ribbon or additional greenery.
Make and Attach Bows
Create bows with 6-inch loops using wired ribbon. Aim for 10-12 loops per bow.
Attach the bows to the garland, focusing on key points like the ends or near floral clusters.
Final Touches
Tuck in extra ferns or picks to fill any gaps.
If desired, add specialty pieces like small Star of David signs or glittery accents for a personal touch.
Fluff the bows and ensure everything is secure before displaying.
