Instructions

Prepping your base

  • Start with a circular frame and 26 pipe cleaner twist ties. (13 under and 13 top)
  • Using 2 rolls of mesh. (black and orange) Cut thirteen 10” pieces of each color.
  • Roll up a piece lengthways, measure 5” into the roll and tie it on to the frame with one of your ties and repeat the other side of the roll.
  • Puff out the middle section.
  • Repeat until you have 9 top layer rolls alternating black and orange as you go.
  • Repeat the same process on the bottom layer until you have 9 bottom layer rolls.
  • Add in an orange roll the same way as before on the top layer over a black roll, puffing out the black and orange roll so they are both showing next to each other and the tail is sticking up between them.
  • Repeat with the remaining rolls alternating the colors as you go.
  • Attach your skeletons pelvis to the lower inside bar and his neck to the upper inside bar using zip ties.
  • Cut the excess tail off the zip tie at the back

Prepping and adding your ribbon tails.

  • Start with 4 different ribbons.
  • Cut 9 tails with each ribbon and dovetail them all.
  • Take 2 different tails, lay them on top of each other, pinch the middle and add them to the base using one of the twist ties.
  • Spiralize the twist ties.
  • Continue this the whole way around the wreath with all the ribbon tails.

Finishing touches.

  • Make a hole in your top hat base and cover the whole with hot glue.
  • Add hot glue to the whole in your skeleton's head, insert a floral pick/stem and add the tophat onto it.
  • Add a zip tie end in your skeleton's wrist to control the range of motion. Secure with hot glue.
  • Add hot glue to some of his joints and hold them in the position you want it in. This works for his jaw, elbows, etc.
  • Make a large terry bow using 7 different ribbons.
  • Fluff out your bow.
  • Add your terry bow on the right of the skeleton and secure it with wire.
  • Add some black leaves in where the twist ties are. Secure them with hot glue.
  • Place a pumpkin on the skeleton's hand, securing it with hot glue and a floral pin.
  • Hot glue a spider onto the pumpkin.
  • Fill in and around your bow with long thin leaves and any other small decorations that you like, making sure to not obstruct his face. Secure then with hot glue.
  • Add a simple bow to the skeleton's neck.
