Prep the base
Start with 6’ garland; use one floral stem per every 12” of garland
Fluff out garland before layering
Fluff out each floral stem prior to layering on the base garland
Adding the florals
Begin layering the first layer of the florals by adding them along the center spine of the base garland.
Add each floral stem sightly on top of each other in the same direction to the opposite end
DO NOT cut the stems; this will help strengthen the base spine
Start the second layer of florals just as you began the first layer; if using two different floral stems for the second layer, then alternate them
Adding the ribbons
Add a 6” ribbon tail going upward, then make roller coaster loops every 12” alternating from front to back; tie with wired stem of existing floral pieces
End with a ribbon tail at the opposite end doing downward
Add 2 loop bows with next ribbon into every tie; about 6” loops with tails; alternate with some going upward and some downward
Add 1 loop bow (half bow); about 6” loops with tails; add into every other tie with full bow
Add a second 1 loop bow (half bow); alternating with the above bows
Adding the flowering picks
Add in flowering picks under each roller coaster loop
Place some of the picks facing in opposite direction,
Secure with wired stems
Finishing up
To secure, add zip ties every 4-6” around all the stems together
Turn over and remove the excess zip ties.
Make sure all stems are fastened together.
