Instructions

Prepare the Frame:

  • Take your 14-inch pancake wreath frame.
  • Attach 6 pipe cleaners to the inner holes and 6 to the outer holes (12 total).
  • Twist each pipe cleaner tightly to ensure a secure hold.

Cut the Mesh:

  • Cut 12 pieces of mesh at 20 inches each. If you’re using two rolls, you can increase the length to 25 inches.
  • Lay the mesh flat and fold under the raw edges. Scrunch up the center with small pinches to create a bow-tie shape.

Attach the Mesh:

  • Start with the outer ring. Insert the scrunched center of a mesh piece into one pipe cleaner and twist securely. Adjust the mesh to create a flat, petal-like layer.
  • Repeat for all 6 outer pipe cleaners.
  • Move to the inner ring and repeat the process, ensuring even coverage.

Cut and Prepare Ribbon Tails:

  • Cut 12 strips of each ribbon at 14 inches.
  • Fold each strip in half lengthwise, then cut a V-shaped dovetail at the ends for a polished look.
  • Pair one piece of each ribbon pattern together, layering the solid ribbon behind the patterned one.

Attach Ribbon Tails:

  • Place each paired ribbon stack into a pipe cleaner on the wreath frame, alternating patterns to create a cohesive look.
  • Twist the pipe cleaner tightly and trim any excess. Tuck the ends of the pipe cleaners into the frame for a clean finish.

Attach the Sign:

  • Glue cable mounts to the back of the sign and let dry completely.
  • Thread pipe cleaners through the mounts and attach the sign to the center of the wreath frame.
  • Adjust the placement to ensure the sign is centered and secure.

Add Optional Accessories:

  • Attach small accessories like gold coins or shamrock picks to the wreath using hot glue or pipe cleaners.
  • Ensure they are evenly distributed for a balanced design.

Final Touches:

  • Fluff and adjust the mesh, ribbons, and accessories to create a full and flat appearance suitable for a storm door.
  • Check for gaps or loose elements and make adjustments as needed.
