Starch Liquid (optional)

Materials

  • 5-6 pitchers water
  • 2-3 cups cornstarch

Instructions

  • Bring water to a boil in a large pot. I used a turkey fryer. Worked perfectly.
  • While water is coming to a boil, add water to cornstarch just enough to cover the top.
  • Mix until all combined. It should look like thick cream.
  • Once water boils, turn off and add the cornstarch. Stir until combined.
  • You can now add the fabric and let it sit about 2 hours in the liquid cornstarch.
  • Hang fabric to dry (before you cut it).

Notes

  • Starch your fabric before you cut it.
  • Starching your fabric will give your rag bow a more poofy look as opposed to a more flowy look.
